KHCN Members Celebrate National Health Center Week
August 15, 2017
August 13 through 19 has been designated as National Health Center Week. All KHCN members are Community Health Centers, and this week we recognize that Community Health Centers are the key to healthier communities. As local community owned and operated businesses, Community Health Centers serve over 25 million Americans at more than 9,000 delivery sites in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. territories.
One in every 15 people living in the United States depends on Health Center services. Health Centers deliver high quality, cost effective, accessible care while serving as critical economic engines helping to power local economies.
In addition to their long history as health care homes to millions, Health Centers are also proud to celebrate over 50 years of service and continue to be ranked among the highest quality and most cost-effective care providers in the nation. Health Centers provide their services to all people, regardless of their ability to pay or insurance status.
This week, KHCN will be sharing information from member celebrations on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
