KHCN member HealthFirst Bluegrass recently grew its number of clinic locations. In December a new site was opened on Harrodsburg Road in Lexington. The primary care clinic is staffed by a board certified family medicine physician and is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. HealthFirst operates five other primary care clinic locations in Lexington with hours ranging from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. during the week and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Services in other locations include dental, pharmacy, and behavioral health.
In addition to the six primary clinic sites, HealthFirst recently expanded is school-based health center sites. They opened their 9th school-based clinic in January. Previously, all school-based locations were in elementary schools, and a middle school was added with this expansion. Provider staff at the new site includes an APRN and LCSW full time, as well as a psych APRN once per week.
