Nicole Barber-Culp will join KHCN on February 1, 2022 as its Director of Grant and Member Services. For more than seven years, she has served as the Health Program Administrator with the Kentucky Department for Public Health and is currently the Kentucky Healthy Schools Program Administrator. In that role, she provides oversight, training opportunities, technical assistance, and educational outreach to local health departments and various community agencies on adolescent health programs, including Coordinated School Health, Bullying Prevention and Tobacco Free Schools. She serves as a member of the Kentucky Board of Education’s Health Subcommittee and is a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention state trainer for the School Health Index. In this work, she has collaborated with KHCN’s school-based health center peer networking team.
Ms. Barber-Culp holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Kentucky. Her experience includes service as a Case Manager for the Volunteers of America, Human Services Supervisor in the Kentucky Office of the Inspector General, and Executive Director of a non-profit family violence prevention agency. Her skills include project and program management, developing and engaging state partner networking, and leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ms. Barber-Culp resides in Frankfort with her family.
