In early April, the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) convened Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN) leaders from across the country in Washington, DC, for a dynamic forum focused on connection, collaboration, and forward-thinking innovation. We heard from leaders at BPHC, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, among others. Region IV+ HCCNs were proud to contribute to the conversation with presentations on data governance, AI and FHIR adoption, and the continued progress of the HCCN National Collaborative. These discussions highlighted both the complexity of our work and the shared commitment to advancing data-driven care across health centers nationwide. Beyond the sessions, the opportunity to exchange ideas, share challenges and successes, and strengthen relationships with peers and federal partners was invaluable.
